blitzcheer: (don't think about it okk)

Tidus doesn't move. He doesn't want to, doesn't think he needs to (beyond a discomfort a knee tells him, but that can put up). They've been here plenty times before, needing to comfort one another. A guy who doesn't know how to quit, a guy who doesn't know how to believe in his own future. A fraction of them, but Inigo's state right now is everything that Tidus's known about him from the beginning.

The person who can't quit, who can't stop. Who never had the choice, and the one he's been trying to show him he can.

Neither of them need to go or do anything. And it's good even, to know they don't have to. ...but, not once did Tidus consider himself the question Inigo poses.

"I... I don't know," he admits. For a moment there, he'd forgotten he'd been anywhere else. But that isn't true, is it? "I heard you. I was out in a distortion, and then -- you were in my head. Next thing I knew-"

I was here. He leaves it unsaid, the rest obvious all things considered, and he'll leave out what else he felt from Inigo. That's not the important part.

Really, the 'how' isn't bothering him now. Who cares?

"I'm glad I'm here," he affirms, stubbornly so. Just so it can't be thought otherwise, so Inigo doesn't get any thoughts either about him playing some role in it.
